Lobby Day 2012 is February 15th! Pro-Choice Lobby Day 2011 was a huge success! We had 87 Legislators scheduled for visits with constituents ranging from 1 to 15 visitors. With almost 200 people registered and more people registering on Lobby Day we were able to show our Legislators how strong Minnesota's Pro-Choice voice is! Pro-Choice Lobby Day happens once a year and we look forward to seeing you on February 15th! The 2011 Legislative Session resulted in the anti-choice House and Senate passing two anti-choice assaults on Minnesota’s women. A bill to strip insurance coverage for low income women’s access to abortion and to ban abortions after 20 weeks were sent to Governor Dayton’s desk and vetoed. We must stand united at the Capitol and not allow the war on women to be fought here in Minnesota without fighting back. Please join with the Pro-Choice Lobby Day Coalition and say no to any attempts to restrict reproductive freedom in Minnesota!  Registration is open for Pro-Choice Lobby Day 2012! We will have trainings and plenty of people who have attended before so you won’t be in the dark about the issues or how to talk about them. Just go to the registration page and sign up. There is no cost to attend the event! The breakout sessions are designed to show people how members of that community talk about Choice. You can pick one you identify with or pick one you want to know more about, either way is fine. There will be a Lobby 101 training to discuss the nuts and bolts of lobbying you Legislators followed by the breakout topic.
